Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, hydroflorates, flower waters, essential water, herbal water or distillates, have many uses for beauty, home, and more! Our organic hydrosols are produced by steam-distilling botanical material. They have similar properties to their essential oil counterparts, but are much less concentrated. Frankincense Hydrosol is made from frankincense tears, or tree resin from the frankincense plant, and was regarded to be a precious resource in ancient times. While it does not compare to gold today, the frankincense hydrosol benefits on skin and hair are worth it.
When used on skin or face, frankincense hydrosol benefits by toning the skin and enhancing your appearance. Purify your skin with this carefully crafted frankincense hydrosol! Another one of many frankincense hydrosol benefits is that it can help hydrate the skin to promote softer, dewy skin. Its aromatic and fragrant nature makes it great to use as a body mist as well! Either spray on your hair and body after a shower or add it to your bathwater to soak in the aromatherapeutic scent.
When used for aromatherapy, frankincense hydrosol is thought to be calming and reassuring. It is a great scent to help you relax during times of stress or unease. It is a great to use as a room freshener or on your body and clothes.
Hydrosols are usually distilled once a year with the fresh harvest season. We try to contract for enough material to last between distillations, but we may run out of your favorite hydrosol before the next distillation season begins. Hydrosols should be kept in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration is recommended if you are not going to use your hydrosol quickly.
Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 1-2 year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration is optional, but may extend the life of your hydrosol.
